Time is one of the few things that truly does not discriminate. Each second, minute and hour measure exactly the same regardless of who you are, where you live or what your circumstances are. It is only our perception that creates differences.
This thought popped in to my head today (I don’t know why) so I took it out, looked at it and decided it was a valid point. Will knowing this change me? I doubt it, but it may help me appreciate my own bias towards others who I perceive get better value for their time.
I decided to google the concept of time getting faster as you age and came across this article out of the “About 3,260,000 results (0.49 seconds)” that Google threw at me. Obviously Google has some super secret accelerated time going on to be able to quantify that information in less than half a second! Oh how us mere mortals envy that.
I’m not sure about, nor really that interested in, the science behind it, I just thought it was an interesting attempt at trying to explain that very familiar phenomenon of “time flying”.
If you have any thoughts about it I would love to hear them. Treasure your time, use it with abandon, enjoy the moment, for it will all pass at its measured pace.
